Jennifer Leslie Torgerson has been a Philosophy lecturer since September 1993, and she has taught at eight Baltimore-Washington area colleges and universities including Coppin State University, Towson University, Prince George's Community College, Harford Community College, Community College of Baltimore County (Catonsville, Dundalk, and Essex), and Baltimore City Community College.
Jennifer's degrees include a BA in Ancient Political Philosophy and the Development of Civilization (INDS), Philosophy, and Political Science from UMBC (1991); a MA in Liberal Studies from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland (1994); a MA in Philosophy from TheAmerican University (2000); and she has completed post-graduate work (36 credits) in Education at the College of Notre Dame of Maryland.
As of August 2010, Jennifer has earned 264 credits (153 at undergraduate level), and has taught more than 198 sections of Philosophy, including courses in Logic, Critical Thinking, Ethics, Ethical Issues:Death and Dying, Environmental Ethics, Philosophy of Religion, and Introduction to Philosophy.
Jennifer's primary emphasis is upon teaching Philosophy, although she writes short essays, papers, and is working on a logic textbook for publication in the distant future.
